 WHO IS RESPONSIBLE FOR CLINICAL BREAST EXAMS?
In our rapidly changing health care system the divisions of health care
provider roles are becoming more complex every day. Oftentimes, one
doctor assumes that you are getting breast health care from another doctor.
Therefore, YOU, THE WOMAN, must decide which health care professional you
are going to trust with your breast health exams. Choose a professional
who is at ease performing breast exams and with whom you are comfortable
and can speak freely. Remember also that it is your responsibility
to schedule appointments for your clinical breast exams at the appropriate
times.
