This invention is dedicated to Judy, my “Sittle  Lister”, who received a diagnosis of advanced breast cancer at the ripe old age of 35.  Her pain, faith and courage inspired me to focus on this invention in hopes that it will save others from the road she has traveled. Despite her valiant 7 year battle against breast cancer, Judy began her final journey on March 14, 2003.  She is greatly missed.    It is also dedicated to my family, who for months supported me in my research, and were often embarrassed when friends dropped by and found the walls adorned with “Breast-Mapping”® prototypes.  My family and I wish you a cancer free life.  If that is not possible, however, we wish you early detection and successful treatment.

     To promote better understanding, this booklet is written in a simple conversational mode.  To enhance your knowledge and improve communication with your health care professionals, medical terms will be included in parentheses ( ).

  The “Breast-Mapping”® System is designed to compliment current medical care by improving the understanding and accuracy of breast self exams.  “Breast-Mapping”® provides a means to document breast self exams and thus better communicate those findings to health care professionals.
